Along with the Romantic principlesadmin / April 11, 2019
Along with the Romantic principles, the pure capture of nature is the greatest pursuit of poetry. Romantic period is an artistic, musical, literary and intellectual movement that involved a reaction against main Enlightenment ideas of the eighteenth century. The romantic exploration of the relationship between man and the nature is provoked by industrialization and urbanization in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. While eighteenth-century poets focus on wit, the romantic poets put emphasis on imagination. Romantic poets of the time such as William Wordsworth and John Keats emphasize the individualism, the imagination, the irrationalism, the spontaneous emotions and the visions.
Wordsworth is one of the pioneer literary figures of English literature of all times. William Wordsworth collaboration with Samuel Taylor Coleridge in ‘Preface to Lyrical Ballads’ mark the beginning of the Romantic era. Lines Written in Early Spring is first published in collection Lyrical Ballads. Wordsworth uses imagination in his works so that the usual things could be seen strange and beautiful with the play of imagination.
